Baking Bread at the museum
Every Thursday a special aroma fills the air in the centre of Fiss - typical Tyrolean wood-fired bread is baked in the oldest wood-fired oven in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.
Delicious 'LEABALA and PAGEN' are baked by the women of Fiss according to an old traditional recipe using only a few regional ingredients. The dough is kneaded, the loaves are shaped and as soon as the oven master says "the oven is ready", the loaves are baked and then sold.
Visitors are welcome to visit the museum while the dough rests and 'rises'.
